Goodyear has recently announced a partnership with Brabham Automotive that originated in 1965 and granted 25 F1 wins along with 1996, 1967 and 1981 World Championship wins. The re-entry of Brabham into the racing will be accomplished by the debut of its BT62 nameplate of 10th November at Brands Hatch. It will showcase its potential in the ‘Into the Night’ race. Director of Brabham Automotive and Sir Jack Brabham’s son David Brabham said, “Goodyear and Brabham’s combined successes in motorsport are iconic. The partnership historically brought an incredible amount of success in Formula 1 and Endurance Racing and we look to continue this winning legacy through Brabham Automotive, the BT62 and future car variants.” He further added, “The continued commitment shown by Goodyear globally in motorsport means it is perfect timing for the two marques to join forces as we continue our road to Le Mans.”
The company’s Commercial Director, Dan Marks recalled the success story of the partnership of the two brands in the F1 race. He added that the technical collaboration with Goodyear will help Brabham to use the Goodyear’s technological experience to attain the goal of achieving the top level on both the road and track.
