Hero MotoCorp has launched its new Hero Maestro Edge 125 scooter with a starting price of Rs. 58,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Drum variant, Rs. 60,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the disc variant and Rs.62,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the F1 variant.

This is the company’s second scooter in the 125cc segment, the first one being Destiny 125. First showcased in the Auto Expo 2018, the final scooter is quite similar to the first model. The bookings for Maestro Edge 125 will start from May 16, 2019.

Look wise, Hero Maestro Edge 125 is identical to its 110cc model. It comes with similar body panels, angular lines and the same sporty appearance. Changes have been made by introducing new all black rear view mirror and the taillights. The scooter is equipped with 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels. With four colour options available for the scooters, blue, brown, grey and red, the F1 version gets additional two colours, Panther Black and Fadeless White.

The new Maestro Edge 125 is equipped with an analogue-digital instrument console that also has the side stand indicator and a service reminder. This model also has an external fuel filler cap, a light for the under seat storage and USB charging. Just like Hero's commuter motorcycles, the Maestro Edge 125 also has the brand’s i3S start-stop system for higher fuel efficiency.

Hero Maestro Edge 125 is equipped with a 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine just like the Hero Destini. The motor is based on the 110 cc mill and develops a maximum output of 8.5 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine has been paired with a CVT unit for effortless gear shifts. For suspension, there are telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic dampers at the rear. With a disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake set-up at the rear, the braking performance is handled. As a mandated regulation, the scooter comes equipped with Integrated Braking system as standard.

Just like any other Hero scooter, the new Maestro Edge 125 also has a competitive price tag and also a number of rivals including the Honda Grazia, Aprilia SR 125, TVS NTorq and a few more. Bookings for the new Hero Maestro Edge 125 scooter are now open at the Hero MotoCorp outlets all across the country. The deliveries for this scooter will start by the end of this month.
