Honda CB300R launched in India – Specs, Price and Images

Honda CB300R launched in India at a price of Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The motorcycle will be available for the customers in the third week of March.


One of the largest manufacturers of two-wheelers, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched it’s second Neo sports cafe CB300R, a middleweight motorcycle, on Friday. Honda CB300R launched in India at a price of Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The motorcycle will be available for the customers in the third week of March.

The company accepted it’s inspiration from the CB1000R and is the second offering by the Neo Sports Cafe which was originally showcased at the Tokyo Motor show.

“With a legacy spanning 4 continents, CB300R is the great introduction for new riders to brand Honda’s engineering prowess, design philosophy and high build quality”, quoted the president and CEO of the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Minoru Kato.

The new launch is equipped with PGM-FI technology that pulls smoothly in town and delivers strong performance even in the highways. The CB300R gains best -in class- torque- to weight ratio due to the combination of torque output and lightest weight in 300 cc segment. The motorcycle is also the lightest vehicle in its category weighing 147kg on the scale.

The motorcycle has 41mm USD forks with 5 stage preload, full LED lights including indicators, IMU based 2-channel ABS and LCD instrument display among others.

YS Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, HMSI said, “In just 25 days since the bookings started, CB300R is booked for over 3 months based on our production plan. Introduction of CB300R will debut the new premium Silver Wing mark in India.”


The Honda CB300R runs on a 286cc DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine that produces 30.9 bhp at 8500 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. The engine has been paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has 41 mm USD forks up front and a 7-step pre-load adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. The bike comes with full-LED lights and an LCD instrument console. With dual disc brakes, the bike comes with ABS for optimum stopping power. There are also gear shift warning lights and Peak Hold function.

The Honda CB300R will be sold via the two-wheeler maker's premium Wing World dealerships. With 22 such outlets across the country, the company plans to add more soon. The bookings have been opened for the bike and the deliveries will start by the third week of March 2019. With the model coming to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit, the company's CKD line is booked for the next three months.
