Tyre manufacturer JK Tyre has declared the acquisition of 26% of the equity share capital of automotive parts company Treel Mobility Solutions for nearly Rs 6 crore. Treel Mobility Solutions Private Limited is a Private incorporated on 12 April 2018. It is a Non-Government Company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Pune.
“The acquisition will help in synergising the sensors business with tyre business as a value-added product offering to customers,” JK Tyre said on Thursday. Treel Mobility Solutions is the manufacturer of sensors monitoring various parameters of performance like speed, air pressure, temperature etc. in running conditions of a vehicle.
“The sensors are suited for a truck as well as non-truck applications and this will provide synergy with the Mobility Solutions Business,” said the company statement. This, in turn, will help in product improvement and also new product development, it added.
In order to gain time and to avoid further delay in the acquisition of Treel, JK Credit & Finance (JKCF), a JK Tyre group company, acquired 50% equity shares from the promoters of Treel in the month of June-July 2019.
Now, JK Tyre & Industries will acquire 26% equity shares of Treel from JKCF. JK Tyre stock gained 0.8% on the BSE to close at Rs 71.35 on Thursday.
